About BigGeo

BigGeo is the Spatial Cloud. We help companies manage and access the world’s spatial data. Any size, any slice, any insight. Delivered in seconds.

We’re building something that hasn’t existed before: a new layer of the internet where the “where” and “when” behind every decision is instantly clear, programmable, and actionable. Our platform removes the complexity that has kept spatial data locked in silos for decades, and replaces it with speed, precision, and control.

We’re a Calgary-based company, early and moving fast, with real customers, real infrastructure, and a clear point of view on where the world is going.

Why BigGeo Exits and Why People Build Here

Most companies are spatially blind. They know what their data says, but not where or when things actually happen. That gap costs real money, creates real risk, and limits what AI can actually do in the physical world.BigGeo exists to close that gap. We’re not building another tool. We’re building the rails that connect the planet’s moving data to the systems that run the world. That’s a big problem, and it takes people who care about doing things right, not just fast.

People build here because:

  • The problem is real and the category is open. We’re not competing for the middle of an existing market. We’re defining a new one. Your work shapes what the category becomes.
  • Your fingerprints are on the architecture. We’re at the stage where the decisions you make today become the foundation tomorrow. What you ship matters.
  • We run on clarity, not politics. We move with purpose. No bureaucratic drag, just a team that agrees on the mission and gets to work.
  • You’ll grow fast because the problems are hard. Spatial data at scale is a genuinely difficult domain. If you want to be stretched, you’ll be stretched.
  • We’re building for longevity. We’re not chasing hype cycles. We’re building infrastructure, the kind that compounds in value over time and earns the trust of the companies that depend on it.

The Role

The Office & Operations Coordinator owns the operational and administrative overflow that keeps BigGeo running day to day, taking convoluted recurring work and turning it into real, repeatable systems, with office logistics as one piece of a much bigger mandate. This role is built for a true generalist, the kind of person who becomes the go-to problem-solver wherever they land and doesn't need a job description to know what needs doing. As BigGeo scales the Spatial Cloud, this is where operational ownership starts, with a clear runway into broader Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own recurring administrative and operational tasks, turning one-off, convoluted tasks into systems that run themselves

• Build and maintain lightweight processes across Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, and Linear so nothing falls through the cracks

• Keep the Calgary office running, organizing storage, restocking supplies, and handling general upkeep.

• Spot the gaps nobody's assigned and close them.

• Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, scheduling, and repetitive admin work, freeing up time for the judgment calls that actually need a person

• Take on new operational domains as you prove yourself, with a clear path toward owning broader Operations systems over time

• Partner directly with the Chief of Staff on whatever the company needs next, priorities shift fast, and so will you

You'll work primarily in Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, and Linear.

What You Bring

Required:

• 2-5 years in an operations, executive support, or generalist role where you owned processes, not just executed tasks.

• Strong systems instincts, comfortable turning a messy recurring task into something repeatable across tools like Monday.com, Slack, and Google Workspace.

• A genuine generalist mentality, you enjoy variety and actively resist being boxed into one lane.

• Comfortable owning physical office logistics, organizing storage, supplies, and general upkeep, as one part of a much broader role.

• Proactive by nature, you solve problems nobody assigned to you and don't wait for a job description to tell you what's next.

• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate documentation, scheduling, and day-to-day admin work.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Monday or similar issue-tracking automation tools for ops and cross-team work.

• Startup or early-stage company experience, where roles are fluid and ownership expands fast.

• A track record of becoming "the glue" in past workplaces, the person others go to.

Success Metrics
  • Within 90 days, you've established a reliable coordination cadence across Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, and Linear so recurring work has a clear owner, a clear rhythm, and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Recurring administrative and operational tasks are documented and running as repeatable systems, not one-off scrambles. What used to require you is increasingly handled by the process you built.
  • The Calgary office runs smoothly and quietly. Supplies, storage, and general upkeep are handled before anyone has to ask.
  • The Chief of Staff can hand you an ambiguous problem and trust it gets closed without needing to follow up. You're becoming the person the team routes things to.
  • Gaps get spotted and closed proactively. Over time, fewer things reach leadership as surprises because you caught them first.
  • You've taken ownership of at least one new operational domain beyond your starting scope, showing the runway into broader Operations is real.
