The Role

BigGeo is hiring a Head of Partnerships to build and scale the strategic partnerships that accelerate growth of the Spatial Cloud. This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, ecosystem development, commercial partnerships, and go-to-market execution.

You will identify, negotiate, and grow relationships with technology providers, cloud platforms, system integrators, channel partners, spatial data organizations, AI companies, and enterprise partners that expand the reach and capabilities of the BigGeo platform.

Success in this role means creating long-term strategic relationships that strengthen BigGeo's ecosystem, accelerate customer adoption, expand market reach, and reinforce BigGeo as the infrastructure layer for spatial intelligence. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to make sure every partnership creates measurable value for customers and for the Spatial Cloud ecosystem.

This role owns the global ecosystem of strategic technology, cloud, AI, and commercial partners; partner programs that create repeatable growth; joint go-to-market initiatives; and the partnership frameworks that cover onboarding, governance, enablement, and success measurement. Done well, this role turns partnerships into one of BigGeo's core growth engines.

BigGeo is an in-office team. We build in person, think out loud, and move faster together than we ever could apart.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy

  • Build and execute BigGeo's partnership strategy end to end.
  • Identify strategic partners that expand the value of the Spatial Cloud.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on customer value, market expansion, and long-term platform growth.

Business Development

  • Build executive relationships with strategic partners across the ecosystem.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, strategic alliances, and joint initiatives.
  • Design partnership models that create measurable outcomes for both sides.

Ecosystem Development

  • Expand BigGeo's ecosystem across cloud providers, AI platforms, system integrators, developers, and data providers.
  • Build partner onboarding and enablement programs that scale beyond one-off deals.
  • Create repeatable frameworks for partnership growth and success.

Go-to-Market Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on joint campaigns, events, announcements, and customer opportunities.
  • Support enterprise sales through direct partner engagement.
  • Drive co-selling and partner-led growth initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work with Product and Engineering to align partnership priorities with platform capabilities.
  • Bring market intelligence back into product strategy conversations.
  • Make sure partnership commitments get executed, not just signed.

Ecosystem Growth

  • Track emerging partnership opportunities across AI, spatial computing, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software.
  • Build long-term relationships that strengthen the Spatial Cloud category.
  • Represent BigGeo at industry events, conferences, and executive engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading strategic partnerships, business development, alliances, or ecosystem growth.
  • A track record negotiating and managing executive-level commercial partnerships.
  • Experience building partner programs within SaaS, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, AI, or platform businesses.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, and go-to-market teams.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience operating in startup or high-growth technology environments.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve execution, research, analysis, and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in geospatial technology, mapping, GIS, transportation, logistics or location intelligence
  • Experience working with hyperscalers and cloud ecosystem partners.
  • Experience building marketplace or platform ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise APIs and developer ecosystems.
  • Experience with government, infrastructure, logistics, mobility, or smart city organizations.
  • International partnership development experience.

Advanced AI Skills

BigGeo operates as an AI-native company. Every role is expected to use modern AI tools to work faster, think more clearly, and produce better output. For a Head of Partnerships, that means:

  • Using AI assistants to research prospective partners, summarize their platforms, and prepare for executive conversations faster.
  • Drafting and refining partnership proposals, term sheets, and enablement materials with AI, while keeping judgment and negotiation strategy human-led.
  • Running AI-assisted market and ecosystem intelligence: tracking competitor partnerships and category shifts, then turning them into clear recommendations for the team.
  • Using AI to build repeatable partner onboarding content and enablement material, so programs scale without a large team behind them.
  • Applying AI tools inside CRM and partnership management platforms to keep relationship data current and actionable.
  • Staying current as AI tooling evolves and bringing new approaches back to the partnerships function.

AI fluency is not a nice-to-have at BigGeo. It is part of how the role is performed.

What You Bring

You are an experienced partnership leader who understands how strategic relationships create lasting competitive advantage. You know how to identify opportunities, build trust with executive stakeholders, and translate partnerships into measurable business outcomes.You bring:

  • 10+ years of experience leading strategic partnerships, business development, alliances, or ecosystem growth within technology organizations.
  • A proven track record of negotiating and managing executive-level commercial partnerships that deliver long-term value.
  • Experience building and scaling partner programs across SaaS, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, AI, or platform businesses.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to structure partnerships that align technical capabilities with business objectives.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to bring partnership opportunities to market.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at both executive and operational levels.
  • Confidence operating in startup or high-growth environments where ambiguity, speed, and ownership are part of everyday work.
  • A systems-thinking mindset with the ability to design repeatable partnership frameworks, processes, and operating models that scale.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and a strong understanding of how AI, cloud platforms, APIs, and modern developer ecosystems are reshaping enterprise software.
  • A commitment to using AI tools to improve research, analysis, relationship management, decision-making, and day-to-day execution.
Success Metrics

First 30 days

  • Deep understanding of the Spatial Cloud platform, architecture, and current partner landscape.
  • Relationships established with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
  • Initial partnership audit complete: what's working, what's missing, where the biggest opportunities sit.
  • First set of priority partner targets identified and prioritized.

First 60 days

  • Partnership strategy drafted and reviewed with Executive Leadership.
  • Active conversations underway with priority technology, cloud, or ecosystem partners.
  • Partner onboarding and enablement framework in early draft form.
  • First joint go-to-market opportunity identified with Sales and Marketing.

First 90 days

  • At least one strategic partnership signed or in final negotiation.
  • Partner program framework in place and ready to scale.
  • Co-selling or partner-led pipeline contributing to the sales motion.
  • A clear reporting cadence established for partnership performance and pipeline impact.

Beyond 90 days

  • A growing ecosystem of strategic technology, cloud, AI, and commercial partners.
  • Partnerships recognized internally as a core growth engine, not a side function.
