About BigGeo
BigGeo is the Spatial Cloud. We help companies manage and access the world’s spatial data. Any size, any slice, any insight. Delivered in seconds.
We’re building something that hasn’t existed before: a new layer of the internet where the “where” and “when” behind every decision is instantly clear, programmable, and actionable. Our platform removes the complexity that has kept spatial data locked in silos for decades, and replaces it with speed, precision, and control.
We’re a Calgary-based company, early and moving fast, with real customers, real infrastructure, and a clear point of view on where the world is going.
Why BigGeo Exits and Why People Build Here
Most companies are spatially blind. They know what their data says, but not where or when things actually happen. That gap costs real money, creates real risk, and limits what AI can actually do in the physical world.BigGeo exists to close that gap. We’re not building another tool. We’re building the rails that connect the planet’s moving data to the systems that run the world. That’s a big problem, and it takes people who care about doing things right, not just fast.
People build here because:
- The problem is real and the category is open. We’re not competing for the middle of an existing market. We’re defining a new one. Your work shapes what the category becomes.
- Your fingerprints are on the architecture. We’re at the stage where the decisions you make today become the foundation tomorrow. What you ship matters.
- We run on clarity, not politics. We move with purpose. No bureaucratic drag, just a team that agrees on the mission and gets to work.
- You’ll grow fast because the problems are hard. Spatial data at scale is a genuinely difficult domain. If you want to be stretched, you’ll be stretched.
- We’re building for longevity. We’re not chasing hype cycles. We’re building infrastructure, the kind that compounds in value over time and earns the trust of the companies that depend on it.
The Role
BigGeo is seeking an AI-First Marketing Designer to help define how an AI-native company creates, experiments, and communicates visually.
This is not a traditional marketing design role with AI added to the toolkit. AI is expected to be a core part of how you think and work.
You will combine strong design fundamentals and creative judgment with advanced AI workflows to develop campaigns, imagery, video, digital experiences, product storytelling, and new creative formats. You will use AI to explore more ideas, prototype faster, produce at greater scale, and create work that would be difficult for a conventional creative workflow to deliver.
You should be comfortable moving fluidly between Figma and traditional creative tools, generative image and video systems, large language models, AI-assisted prototyping environments, and emerging creative technology.
You will be expected not only to use AI tools, but to understand how to build effective creative workflows around them: defining inputs, creating and refining prompts, maintaining visual consistency, iterating systematically, evaluating outputs, combining tools, and knowing when human creative judgment needs to take over.
The goal is not more content for the sake of more content. The goal is stronger ideas, better execution, faster experimentation, and creative capabilities that expand what a small, ambitious marketing team can produce.
This is a hands-on role with significant creative ownership. You will help establish what AI-first creative work looks like at BigGeo while making the Spatial Cloud understandable, memorable, and visually distinct.
Key Responsibilities
As AI-First Marketing Designer, you will help define both what BigGeo looks like and how BigGeo creates.
You will build and own:

Technology or SaaS experience is helpful but not essential. The ability to understand complex ideas and turn them into compelling creative is more important.
How This Role Contributes to the Spatial Cloud
Defining a new technology category requires more than building the technology. People need to understand it.
The AI-First Marketing Designer helps make the Spatial Cloud visible.
Your work will translate complex ideas about spatial data, infrastructure, AI, and real-world systems into creative that makes those ideas easier to understand and remember.
You will help establish how the Spatial Cloud looks, how its concepts are explained visually, and how BigGeo shows up across campaigns, launches, digital experiences, events, and the market.
You will also help demonstrate what an AI-native organization can produce when AI is treated as part of the creative operating model rather than simply another software tool.
Success means BigGeo’s marketing looks as innovative as the technology behind it. Complex ideas become easier to understand. Creative experimentation increases. Marketing can explore and execute ideas faster. The quality bar rises while repetitive production work falls.
The systems and workflows you build should create leverage beyond your individual output, helping BigGeo continually increase the ambition, speed, and quality of its creative work.
Work Environment and Collaboration
BigGeo operates in a high-ownership startup environment where people are expected to take initiative, communicate clearly, experiment intelligently, and contribute beyond narrow functional boundaries when needed.
The AI-First Marketing Designer will work closely with:
- Marketing and brand
- Growth
- Product
- Engineering and technical subject-matter experts
- Sales and partnerships
- Company leadership
You will have meaningful creative autonomy and will be expected to bring ideas, not simply wait for briefs.
The work will move between large creative concepts and detailed execution. One project might involve developing the visual direction for a major campaign. Another might involve turning technical architecture into a clear visual narrative, generating and editing a new video concept, building an interactive prototype with AI-assisted development tools, or producing and testing dozens of meaningful creative variations with Growth.
AI is part of how BigGeo works. The expectation is not simply that you know how to operate AI tools. You should be able to reason about where AI belongs in a workflow, where it does not, what context it needs, how outputs should be evaluated, and how repeatable systems can be built around it.
You will be expected to continually experiment with emerging capabilities and turn useful discoveries into practical workflows for the broader Marketing team.
As AI capabilities evolve, your workflow should evolve with them.
This role is for a designer who combines creative taste with technical curiosity; who wants to design systems as well as assets; who sees AI as a new creative medium rather than a shortcut; and who wants to help define how a small, highly capable team builds the creative language for the Spatial Cloud.
