About BigGeo

BigGeo is the Spatial Cloud. We help companies manage and access the world’s spatial data. Any size, any slice, any insight. Delivered in seconds.

We’re building something that hasn’t existed before: a new layer of the internet where the “where” and “when” behind every decision is instantly clear, programmable, and actionable. Our platform removes the complexity that has kept spatial data locked in silos for decades, and replaces it with speed, precision, and control.

We’re a Calgary-based company, early and moving fast, with real customers, real infrastructure, and a clear point of view on where the world is going.

Why BigGeo Exits and Why People Build Here

Most companies are spatially blind. They know what their data says, but not where or when things actually happen. That gap costs real money, creates real risk, and limits what AI can actually do in the physical world.BigGeo exists to close that gap. We’re not building another tool. We’re building the rails that connect the planet’s moving data to the systems that run the world. That’s a big problem, and it takes people who care about doing things right, not just fast.

People build here because:

  • The problem is real and the category is open. We’re not competing for the middle of an existing market. We’re defining a new one. Your work shapes what the category becomes.
  • Your fingerprints are on the architecture. We’re at the stage where the decisions you make today become the foundation tomorrow. What you ship matters.
  • We run on clarity, not politics. We move with purpose. No bureaucratic drag, just a team that agrees on the mission and gets to work.
  • You’ll grow fast because the problems are hard. Spatial data at scale is a genuinely difficult domain. If you want to be stretched, you’ll be stretched.
  • We’re building for longevity. We’re not chasing hype cycles. We’re building infrastructure, the kind that compounds in value over time and earns the trust of the companies that depend on it.

The Role

BigGeo is looking for a highly organized, relationship-driven Client Success Manager to own the operational lifecycle of our client relationships—from discovery and qualification through contracting, technical onboarding, commercialization, launch, adoption, and expansion.

You will serve as a central point of coordination for data providers, data buyers, and internal teams across executive leadership, sales, legal, engineering, data ingestion, product, and marketing. This role is ideal for someone who creates clarity in complex environments, follows through relentlessly, and can keep many high-value relationships moving at different stages.

What this role really owns: momentum, organization, and client confidence across BigGeo’s commercial ecosystem. You make sure a promising conversation becomes a successful, scalable relationship.

Key Responsibilities

Client Discovery & Relationship Development

  • Identify, research, engage, and manage prospective data providers and data buyers.
  • Lead and coordinate discovery to understand datasets, geographic coverage, licensing, pricing, technical formats, business objectives, customer use cases, and partnership opportunities.
  • Determine how client needs and datasets align with BigGeo’s Spatial Cloud, Marketplace, Data Lab, Datascape, Variants, MCP and AI experiences, and broader commercial strategy.
  • Build trusted relationships throughout the client lifecycle and re-engage dormant opportunities when there is a clear path forward.

Pipeline, Project & Executive Coordination

  • Own the day-to-day management of a large portfolio of prospective and active clients at different stages.
  • Track every relationship from initial contact through discovery, agreements, sample acquisition, ingestion, review, pricing, commercialization, listing, launch, adoption, and ongoing management.
  • Maintain clear next steps, owners, deadlines, dependencies, and follow-up dates; identify stalled work and proactively unblock it.
  • Coordinate client meetings, technical sessions, data reviews, commercial discussions, and executive conversations; prepare agendas and context, capture decisions, and ensure commitments are completed.

Contracting & Commercial Readiness

  • Coordinate client documentation, including MNDAs, DEAs, MMPAs, PPAs, reseller agreements, and related commercial agreements.
  • Work between BigGeo leadership and legal teams and external client teams to manage questions, redlines, revisions, approvals, and signatures.
  • Track contractual requirements and translate legal and commercial discussions into clear actions before work progresses.
  • Facilitate discussions about dataset variants, geographic fractionalization, licensing, pricing, packaging, use cases, and routes to market.

Technical Onboarding, Adoption & Support

  • Coordinate collection of samples and production datasets, including formats, schemas, geographic coverage, update frequency, delivery methods, and licensing restrictions.
  • Coordinate secure data transfer and S3 delivery with clients and BigGeo technical teams.
  • Partner with ingestion, engineering, and product teams to ensure data is received, validated, indexed, reviewed, and prepared for commercial use.
  • Troubleshoot onboarding and adoption blockers by bringing together the right client and BigGeo stakeholders, communicating progress, and maintaining confidence.

Commercialization, Growth & Go-to-Market

  • Coordinate BigGeo Data Review sessions and prepare clients and internal stakeholders to evaluate how datasets operate within the BigGeo ecosystem.
  • Move validated data into Marketplace readiness, launch, and go-to-market activities.
  • Support sales conversations by translating buyer requirements into actionable data-sourcing opportunities and obtaining coverage, samples, pricing, and licensing information from providers.
  • Collect dataset descriptions, coverage details, documentation, logos, and other assets; coordinate listings, announcements, positioning, and joint promotions with growth and marketing teams.
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships through additional datasets, geographies, use cases, and commercial opportunities.

Cross-Functional Operations & Scalable Processes

  • Act as the bridge across clients and BigGeo’s executive, sales, legal, engineering, ingestion, product, and marketing teams.
  • Translate external conversations into clear internal tasks, assign or confirm ownership, and escalate material blockers and decisions when needed.
  • Maintain complete, accurate client records, including meeting notes, decisions, next steps, owners, deadlines, risks, and relationship history.
  • Create and improve SOPs, templates, documentation, and tracking systems for discovery, contracting, onboarding, data reviews, commercialization, launch, adoption, and follow-up.
  • Design processes that make BigGeo’s Client Success function scalable and prevent opportunities or responsibilities from falling through the cracks.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in client success, partnerships, business development operations, implementation, project management, sales operations, or a related client-facing role—ideally in SaaS, data, cloud, AI, or another technical environment.
  • Exceptional AI skills, organizational skills,  and the ability to manage a high-volume portfolio with many stakeholders, dependencies, deadlines, and stages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to turn complex conversations into concise decisions, actions, and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust with clients while coordinating effectively with technical, legal, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of B2B contracting, onboarding, implementation, commercialization, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Comfort discussing data formats, schemas, APIs, cloud delivery, licensing, pricing, and technical workflows without needing to be an engineer.
  • A process-builder mindset: you notice operational gaps, create useful systems, and improve how work gets done.
  • Sound judgment, urgency, attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership from first conversation through successful outcome.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with geospatial, location, mapping, mobility, demographic, property, environmental, or other large-scale datasets.
  • Experience with data marketplaces, partner ecosystems, cloud infrastructure, AI products, or usage-based commercial models.
  • Familiarity with CRM, project-management, documentation, and workflow-automation tools.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Clients move predictably through discovery, contracting, onboarding, review, commercialization, launch, and adoption, with fewer stalled relationships and shorter cycle times.
  • Every active relationship has an accurate status, accountable owner, documented next action, due date, and visible blocker.
  • Client onboarding and issue resolution are timely, coordinated, and confidence-building.
  • Commercially ready datasets progress into listings, customer use cases, and revenue opportunities.
  • Client health, satisfaction, retention, and expansion opportunities are actively managed and communicated.
  • Repeatable SOPs, templates, and operating rhythms allow BigGeo’s client portfolio to scale without losing quality or context.

Why Build at BigGeo

  • The problem is real and the category is open. Your work will help shape how the Spatial Cloud reaches the market.
  • Your impact is visible. At this stage, the systems and relationships you build become part of BigGeo’s foundation.
  • We run on clarity, ownership, and purpose. You will work directly with leaders and specialists across the company.
  • The work is challenging and meaningful. You will operate at the intersection of data, AI, infrastructure, and real-world decision-making.
  • We are building for longevity—trusted infrastructure that compounds in value over time.

Work Environment & Benefits

This is an on-site role based at BigGeo’s Calgary office. We believe complex, cross-functional work moves faster when people can collaborate directly, solve problems together, and maintain shared context.

  • Competitive compensation and participation in BigGeo’s long-term growth.
  • A high-trust environment with meaningful ownership and direct access to decision-makers.
  • Opportunities to learn quickly and help define a new technology category.

Success Metrics

First 30 days:

  • Complete onboarding into BigGeo's commercial ecosystem: Spatial Cloud, Marketplace, Data Lab, Datascape, Variants, MCP/AI experiences
  • Shadow at least 3-5 active client relationships across different lifecycle stages (discovery, contracting, onboarding, commercialization)
  • Learn the contracting landscape (MNDAs, DEAs, MMPAs, PPAs, reseller agreements) and who owns what across legal, sales, and leadership
  • Build a full, accurate inventory of the current client portfolio: status, owner, next action, and blockers for every active relationship
  • Meet every key internal stakeholder across sales, legal, engineering, ingestion, product, and marketing

First 60 days:

  • Take full day-to-day ownership of the client portfolio, with every relationship showing an accurate status, owner, next action, and due date
  • Independently coordinate at least one client through a full stage transition (e.g., discovery → contracting, or onboarding → data review)
  • Identify and unblock at least 2-3 stalled relationships that were stuck prior to this role owning the portfolio
  • Coordinate first end-to-end technical onboarding (sample/data collection through secure delivery) with ingestion and engineering
  • Draft or improve at least one SOP/template for a recurring process (discovery, contracting, or onboarding)

First 90 days:

  • Demonstrate measurably fewer stalled relationships and shorter cycle times across the portfolio compared to the 30-day baseline
  • Successfully move at least one client from initial contact through to commercialization or launch readiness, owning coordination end-to-end
  • Contracting coordination (redlines, approvals, signatures) runs smoothly between BigGeo leadership, legal, and external client teams without dropped threads
  • Client records (notes, decisions, next steps, risks) are complete and reliable enough that anyone internally can get an accurate status without asking
  • At least one commercially ready dataset has progressed into Marketplace listing or go-to-market activity under this role's coordination

Beyond 90 days:

  • Client portfolio scales without quality or context loss — SOPs, templates, and operating rhythms are repeatable and used consistently
  • Recognized internally as the reliable source of truth for client status, blockers, and next steps across sales, legal, engineering, and marketing
  • Demonstrated track record of expansion: additional datasets, geographies, or use cases identified and pursued within existing client relationships
  • Client health, satisfaction, and retention are proactively tracked and communicated, not just reacted to
  • Contributes to refining BigGeo's client success function itself (process improvements, tooling, escalation paths) rather than just executing it
