About BigGeo

BigGeo is the Spatial Cloud. We help companies manage and access the world’s spatial data. Any size, any slice, any insight. Delivered in seconds.

We’re building something that hasn’t existed before: a new layer of the internet where the “where” and “when” behind every decision is instantly clear, programmable, and actionable. Our platform removes the complexity that has kept spatial data locked in silos for decades, and replaces it with speed, precision, and control.

We’re a Calgary-based company, early and moving fast, with real customers, real infrastructure, and a clear point of view on where the world is going.

Why BigGeo Exits and Why People Build Here

Most companies are spatially blind. They know what their data says, but not where or when things actually happen. That gap costs real money, creates real risk, and limits what AI can actually do in the physical world.BigGeo exists to close that gap. We’re not building another tool. We’re building the rails that connect the planet’s moving data to the systems that run the world. That’s a big problem, and it takes people who care about doing things right, not just fast.

People build here because:

  • The problem is real and the category is open. We’re not competing for the middle of an existing market. We’re defining a new one. Your work shapes what the category becomes.
  • Your fingerprints are on the architecture. We’re at the stage where the decisions you make today become the foundation tomorrow. What you ship matters.
  • We run on clarity, not politics. We move with purpose. No bureaucratic drag, just a team that agrees on the mission and gets to work.
  • You’ll grow fast because the problems are hard. Spatial data at scale is a genuinely difficult domain. If you want to be stretched, you’ll be stretched.
  • We’re building for longevity. We’re not chasing hype cycles. We’re building infrastructure, the kind that compounds in value over time and earns the trust of the companies that depend on it.

The Role

BigGeo is seeking an AI Content Marketing Lead to shape how BigGeo is discovered, understood, and talked about.

This is not a traditional content marketing role built around producing a high volume of content. You will combine storytelling, brand building, marketing judgment, and AI experimentation to develop ideas people understand, remember, and want to share.

You will own BigGeo’s content strategy and editorial direction, help shape our brand narrative and point of view, build thought leadership around the Spatial Cloud, and find compelling stories across our technology, customers, people, and industries.

You will also explore a rapidly changing part of modern marketing: how AI is reshaping search, discovery, content creation, and brand visibility. You will experiment with how BigGeo is discovered and represented across AI systems and develop approaches for increasing our visibility across both traditional search and the emerging AI ecosystem.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who can find the interesting story behind complex technology, develop a strong point of view, and build the systems required to turn those ideas into sustained market awareness.

What You Will Build and Own

As AI Content Marketing Lead, you will build the content, narratives, and AI-enabled systems that increase awareness and understanding of BigGeo.

You will build and own:

  • BigGeo’s content strategy and editorial direction
  • Brand narratives and points of view around the Spatial Cloud
  • Content and campaigns designed to increase brand awareness
  • Technology, customer, people, and industry storytelling
  • Executive and company thought leadership
  • AI visibility and generative engine optimization strategies
  • Organic search and emerging discovery strategies
  • BigGeo’s social content strategy and experimentation
  • Customer stories, use cases, and outcome-driven content
  • PR and communications opportunities around launches, industry conversations, and company moments
  • AI-powered workflows for research, ideation, creation, repurposing, and distribution
  • Experiments across new AI tools, channels, formats, and discovery mechanisms
  • Measurement of brand reach, engagement, share of voice, AI visibility, organic discovery, and contribution to growth

Your work will help establish the stories and ideas people associate with BigGeo and the Spatial Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Narrative and Storytelling

  • Find and develop compelling stories about BigGeo’s technology, customers, people, industries, and the problems we are solving
  • Translate complex concepts involving spatial data, infrastructure, AI, and real-world systems into ideas people can understand and remember
  • Help shape BigGeo’s voice, point of view, and the larger narratives we want to own
  • Develop clear narratives that reinforce BigGeo’s position as the Spatial Cloud
  • Maintain consistency across stories while adapting them for different audiences, channels, and moments
  • Look beyond product features to identify ideas with broader market and cultural relevance

Content Strategy and Editorial Direction

  • Develop editorial priorities based on the audiences, conversations, and ideas that matter most to BigGeo

  • Determine where long-form, short-form, visual, social, executive, customer, or other formats are most effective

  • Connect AI visibility efforts with broader organic search, content, PR, and brand strategies
  • Build an evidence-based understanding of what improves BigGeo’s presence across the emerging AI discovery ecosystem

Social and Audience Development

  • Build a distinctive social presence for BigGeo rather than simply distributing existing content

  • Partner with executives and subject-matter experts to strengthen their individual voices where appropriate
  • Use audience and performance signals to continuously improve the social strategy

AI-First Content Operations and Experimentation

  • Use AI throughout the content lifecycle, including research, ideation, synthesis, drafting, editing, repurposing, analysis, and distribution

  • Experiment with emerging AI tools and determine where they meaningfully improve marketing work
  • Develop methods for rapidly turning one strong idea into relevant formats across multiple channels
  • Maintain strong human editorial judgment, accuracy, originality, and brand consistency across AI-assisted work
  • Share successful AI workflows and practices with the broader Marketing team

Measurement and Optimization

  • Define how BigGeo measures awareness, content performance, social reach, share of voice, organic discovery, AI visibility, and contribution to growth
  • Establish baselines and track changes over time
  • Identify which narratives, topics, channels, and formats generate meaningful audience response
  • Use performance data to determine what BigGeo should produce more of, change, test, or stop
  • Build reporting that connects content activity to brand and business outcomes rather than production volume

The AI Content Marketing Lead will work across modern content, analytics, search, social, communications, and AI environments.

Relevant tools and environments may include:

  • Generative AI assistants and research systems

How This Role Contributes to the Spatial Cloud

A new category becomes meaningful when people have language for it, understand why it matters, and begin using it to describe how the world is changing.

The AI Content Marketing Lead will help create that understanding for the Spatial Cloud.

Your work will turn complex technology into memorable ideas, develop the stories and points of view BigGeo wants to own, and build awareness among the audiences that can influence, adopt, and build with the Spatial Cloud.

You will also help BigGeo navigate a fundamental change in how people discover information. As AI systems increasingly influence what companies, technologies, and ideas people encounter, BigGeo needs to be understood across both human and AI-driven discovery environments.

Success means more people know BigGeo. More people understand BigGeo. More of the right people are talking about BigGeo.

Work Environment and Collaboration

BigGeo operates in a collaborative startup environment where people are expected to take ownership, communicate clearly, experiment, and contribute beyond narrow functional boundaries when needed.

The AI Content Marketing Lead will work closely with Marketing, Growth, Product, Engineering and technical subject-matter experts, Sales, customer-facing teams, and company leadership.

You will have significant autonomy over how BigGeo finds and tells stories. You will be expected to bring ideas and points of view, identify opportunities without waiting for a brief, and develop systems where established playbooks do not yet exist.

This role requires comfort moving between strategic and hands-on work. One day may involve developing a category narrative with leadership; another may involve interviewing an engineer, analyzing BigGeo’s representation across AI systems, writing an executive perspective, testing a new social format, or turning a customer outcome into a story.

AI is fundamental to the role. You should already be experimenting with AI and be motivated by how rapidly it is changing marketing, content creation, research, storytelling, and discovery.
